Ten public institutions of the Lori region, including educational institutions, medical clinics, museums have already begun to use solar energy

On the 11th of December 2024, the opening event of the solar power plant project was held at the Geological Museum, which was attended by Aram Ghazaryan, Governor of the Lori Region of the Republic of Armenia, by Armine Avdalyan, Director of the Lori-Pambak Museum of Regional Studies, by Andrius Pulokas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia, and by Armen Manukyan, Head of the Investment Program Coordination, Economic Analysis and Monitoring Division of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia and Solet together with representatives of OHM Energy. During these events, the importance of renewable energy sources and cooperation between countries was emphasized.

It is estimated that the installed solar power plants with a capacity of 140 kW will produce over 174 thousand kWh of electricity per year, which will account for 87% of the annual electricity demand of institutions. These power plants will not only provide electricity, but also reduce the institutions expenses.

Since 2018, Solet has already implemented 20 bilateral development cooperation projects in other countries, such as Sakartvelo, Moldova, Armenia, Nigeria, Ukraine. Where, the company installed over 85 power plants in schools, kindergartens, war refugee camps, hospitals and other institutions.

The projects are implemented in accordance with the development cooperation program of the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA) of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, financed by the Special Programme on Climate Change. Solet, together with its partners OHM Energy, also contributes part of the funds.
